Opportunities for rising 11th and 12th graders:
We are seeking 2 farm assistants who are rising juniors or seniors to be employed at Waynesboro Education Farm. These positions will run from June 3 to July 26. Interested students should possess the following qualifications:
- Interest in organic farming methods and practices
- Eagerness to learn and engage with the inner workings of a community farm
- Physical stamina and perseverance
- Ability to work 30 hours a week
These employees also need to be willing to perform the following duties:
- Assist with planting and harvesting
- Perform landscaping and weeding tasks
- Tend to greenhouse
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning
- Assist with other general labor tasks as needed
- Assist junior farm assistants as directed
Farm assistants will work directly with junior farm assistants under the direction of the WEF Farm Manager, Farm Educator, and other staff. These part-time employees will also further develop and expand their workplace and employment skills to meet the following targets:

Compensation:
$15 per hour/30 hours per week
